Shah said, on his return from US, that it will depend on whether ICC gives clearance to host the India-West Indies ties in either Florida or Toronto this September. If the ICC says that is not possible than the series would have to be shifted to June next year, he said.
''Only two venues can host the matches in the series, which will be either a best-of-three or five matches -- Fort Lauderdale in Florida in US or Toronto in Canada -- where India have played before (against Pakistan),'' Shah said.
Shah and BCCI's former president I S Bindra had met West Indies Cricket Board officials, including president Ken Gordon and former captain Clive Lloyd, in New York earlier this month to have discussions on the proposed series.
Also present at the meeting were the representatives of the US and Canada cricket associations, Shah added.
