London:India put up a fine all-round display to beat their English counterpart by nine wickets to record their second successive win and claim the three-match U-19 One-day International series at Sofia Gardens.

England's decision to bat first proved disastrous as the tourists bowled them out for a paltry 164 in 44.5 overs.

Ishant Sharma rocked the England top order -- claiming three wickets including the first ball dismissal of hosts' skipper Varun Chopra.

Chopra's attempt to run Ishant down to third man back-fired and the England captain's unguarded off stump was removed by the pacer's delivery giving the first blow to the English hopes in the match.

Ishant kept striking at regular intervals to break the back of English middle-order, which struggled to against the visitors' bowlers.

Adam Lyth was England's top scorer with 36, but he too had his stumps disturbed by Ishant. Mark Nelson (26) and Ben Wright (23) also contributed but none of England's batsmen ever looked set and were eventually bundled out for 164.

The innings ended in drama when Yo Mahesh claimed a hat-trick to remove the last three England wickets.

Chasing the modest target, the tourists lost just one wicket as they romped home with more than 20 overs to spare.

Aziz Praveez provided the fireworks for India, smasing a 55-ball 79 before holing out to Andrew Miller off Moeen Ali to become the only casualty of the innings.

Aziz's innings included 15 hits to the fence.

Wicketkeeper Uday Kaul (58 not out) and Sumit Sharma (23 not out) saw the tourists home as they posted 165 for one to claim the series.

The last match is scheduled to be played later today at Cardiff.
