London:Team India discard Zaheer Khan scalped three in the second innings but a lacklustre show by other Worcestershire bowlers and a magnificent 161 by Aussie Marcus North saw Derbyshire salvaging a draw in a Division Two county match at Chesterfield.

North was aided by opener Di Venuto (99) and both ensured Derbyshire don't suffer after conceding a 146-run lead in the first innings.

However, Zaheer Khan struck intermittently to give Worcs a glimmer of hope. But North and A Botha (50) stayed long enough to deny the visitors a win.

Worcs scored 82 for one in their second innings.

Brief scores: Derbyshire 351 and 409 Worcstershire 497 and 82 for one.
