Kolkata:CAB president Jagmohan Dalmiya today moved the city civil court challenging BCCI's petition to summon him before the disciplinary committee on August 15 while a case related to this is still pending in the court.

A source close to Jagmohan Dalmiya told UNI that the CAB president moved an application challenging BCCI's scheduled meeting of the disciplinary committee on August 15, while the matter was still pending in the court.

Dalmiya's counsel Geetanath Ganguly made the petition before city civil court judge P K Sarkar. The matter will come up for hearing on August 10.

The application said Dalmiya challenged the validity of being called before the disciplinary committee on July 25 and in a hearing, the chief judge had given BCCI a fortnight to reply in a written affidavit and Dalmiya another seven days time to respond to it.

Following a letter on July 26, BCCI postponed the disciplinary meeting indefinitely. But now since Mr Dalmiya has been called before the disciplinary committee on August 15, the matter has been challenged.
