Speaking at a symposium organised by Ten Sports and Press Club here today, Srinath said the strength of Dravid lies in his own performance. If he does not perform, then he would be in trouble.
Therefore, he should better perform.
''As a captain, I feel he is the one who cuts out all the risks.
However, if you give him his team which he wants I am sure he will deliver the results at the World Cup,'' the former team India pacer and Dravid's teammate stated.
On the contrary, Sivaramkrishnan felt that Dravid has grown in stature as captain and leads from the front.
''I feel he (Dravid) takes quite a few risks like bowling first when batting is required and vice-versa as well as sudden changes to the batting line up. I feel as he finishes a couple of years in the captain's chair, he will settle down further,'' Sivaramakrishnan added.
