Mumbai: The Indian cricket team for the tri-series in Malaysia will undergo a conditioning camp in Bangalore starting on August 30, followed by two practice matches in Chennai before departing for Kuala Lumpur.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Niranjan Shah, however, said that this training camp would be different as the 15 member team would be trained in batches of five players each under the supervision of coach Greg Chappell, physio John Gloster, trainer Greg King and bio-mechanist Ian Frazer.

''The squad will be trained in three batches of five players each'', Shah said, adding that all the players would then assemble in Chennai on September 7 and play two matches on September 8 and 9 against local sides consisting of talented players from the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) leagues.

The team will depart for Kuala Lumpur on September 10 for the tri-series, which also features West Indies and Australia.
