London: Matthew Hoggard gave England yet another injury scare before Ashes series after the seamer pulled out of Yorkshire's match against Nottinghamshire with a side strain.

Yorkshire physiotherapist Scott McAllister said later that Hoggard had undergone an ultra-sound scan which was clear, but he would have an MRI scan tomorrow to see if there was a small strain. Scott did not believe the injury was serious.

Hoggard, who took 16 wickets in last year's Ashes, has been named for the Australia-bound squad yesterday.

England selectors have already started receiving flaks for including at least six players who are undergoing treatment for various injuries.
