India win toss and bat against West Indies

Kuala Lumpur: Indian captain Rahul Dravid won the toss and opens the batting with Sachin Tendulkar in the DLF Cup day/night One-day International against the West Indies at Kinrara Oval here today.

India go into the match with a full-strength team, with the exception of middle-order batsman Yuvraj Singh who is ill.

Brian Lara's West Indies are looking to bounce back after a demoralising loss to Australia in the opening game of the series on Tuesday when their batting collapsed. They field the same team, with Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Chris Gayle opening the batting and Ian Bradshaw and Fidel Edwards spearheading the bowling.


India: Rahul Dravid (capt), Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Mohammad Kaif, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni, Irfan Pathan, Ajit Agarkar, Munaf Patel, RP Singh, Harbhajan Singh.

West Indies: Brian Lara (capt), Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Chris Gayle, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Dwayne Bravo, Wavell Hinds, Dwayne Smith, Carlton Baugh Jr, Ian Bradshaw, Jerome Taylor, Fidel Edwards.
