Indore:Star cricketer Anil Kumble scalped five yielding only 42 runs putting West Zone in trouble as the latter were bundled out at 180 and South Zone gained a crucial 111-run first innings lead on the second day of a Duleep Trophy encounter at the Usha Raje Cricket Ground here.

Replying to South's total of 291, West could notch up 180/9 with one batsman hurt. Ravindra Jadeja (53), Rohit Sharma (41) and Dhiraj Jadhav (36) were the only batsmen who somehow faced South's mixed attack - the pace of Laxmipathy Balaji and S Sreesanth coupled with Kumble's menacing spin.
