Sri Lanka ~~A~~ pile up 358 runs against Orissa

Cuttack:Srilanka A team had valuable practice match with Skipper Thilan Samaraweera and Jehan Mubarak scoring centuries against Orissa at the opening day of the three day practice match played at the Barabati stadium here on Yesterday.

Elected to bat after winning the toss, the Srilankan batsmen made merry and registered a of total 358 for 6 at the close of play.

Skipper Thilan faced 195 balls to score 124 which included 17 boundaries and three sixes before being bowled by Sanjaya Satpathy.

The other successful batsman was Jehan, who remained not out at 115 runs hitting 14 boundaries and two sixes.

Srilanka Test player Upul Chandana was unfortunately run out for two.

Opening batsman Malinda Warnapura collected 56 runs to his credit before being caught and bowled by Sanjaya Satpathy.

Most of the Orissa bowlers could not do any impressive bowling except Sanjaya Satpathy, who claimed four wickets for 95 runs.
