Pakistan decide to bowl against New Zealand

Mohali:Mohali: Pakistan captain Younis Khan has opted to bowl first after winning the toss in their Champions Trophy game against New Zealand in Mohali on Wednesday.

Younis, who named an unchanged side, chose to bowl because of the dew - for which a chemical ASAP-80 has been sprayed on the out-field.

The Kiwis make two changes - with Peter Fulton replacing Hamish Marshall who is unwell, while seamer James Franklin is preferred to spinner Jeetan Patel.

The winners of this game will be the first team to book the semi-finals berth.

Gul strikes for Pak: Pak swing bowler Umar Gul delivered early blow for Kiwis when he rattled the timber of struggling Lou Vincent (3). Kiwis were 4/1 in 2 overs with skipper Fleming (0) and seasoned campaigner Nathan Astle (0) were at the crease.
