New Zealand decide to bowl against Australia

Mohali:New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming has won the toss and elected to field in the Champions Trophy semi-final against Australia played here at PCA stadium today.

Australia retained the same side that defeated hosts India in the last league match here on Sunday.

New Zealand will miss all-rounder Scott Styris due to a back injury, but pace spearhead Shane Bond was declared fit to play after a hamstring scare.

The second semi-final between South Africa and the West Indies will be played in Jaipur on Thursday.

Kyle Mills strikes early for Kiwis: Kiwis swing bowler Kyle Mills delivered early blows for Aussies by claiming Shane Watson (0) and Adam Gilchrist (3) to leave them reeling on 4/2 in third over.

Mills lured Watson to pull with a shot delivery only to be holed out to Fulton at mid-off, while struggling Gilchrist played a poor shot to be caught at mid-wicket by Jacob Oram. Aussie skipper Ricky Ponting (1) and in-form Damien Martyn (0) were at the crease trying to dole out their team from the early setbacks.
