London:Indian Parliamentarians are not the only ones who get annoyed when the cricket team does badly, the British are no different and after Andrew Flintoff's men succumbed to their second successive defeat at the Ashes, an MP has called on Prime Minister Tony Blair to bring back the team before Christmas.

Norwich North MP Ian Gibson was so incensed with England's performance so far that he asked Mr Blair whether it was possible to bring back the side after the humiliating loss at the Adelaide.

''I'm tempted to ask if he would bring the boys back home by Christmas. But even with his powers I dont think the English cricket team would agree to that!,'' Mr Gibson was quoted by the 'Sun' as saying during the Prime Minister's Question in Parliament.

The English, who won the Ashes after a gap of 18 years last summer, are in danger of losing their reign on the coveted urn to the Aussies after meekly surrendering the first two matches.

The defending champions suffered a massive 277-run defeat in the series opener in Brisbane and a batting collapse in the second innings saw them lose the Adelaide Test by six wickets.
