Bangladesh~~s Iqbal out of WC due to injury

Dhaka:Bangladesh have left injured opener Nafees Iqbal out of their 30-man provisional World Cup squad, the country's cricket board said today.

Iqbal, who last played for Bangladesh almost a year ago, has been unable to overcome a persistent knee injury and will not be making the trip to the Caribbean. Bangladesh will play in Group 'B' at the March 13-April 28 event, alongside India, Sri Lanka and Bermuda.

Squad: Habibul Bashar (captain), Shahriar Nafees, Khaled Mashud, Mohammad Rafique, Mashrafe Mortaza, Javed Omar, Mohammad Ashraful, Aftab Ahmed, Rajin Saleh, Shahadat Hossain, Tushar Imran, Alok Kapali, Tapash Baishya, Abdur Razzak, Manzural Islam, Syed Rasel, Mushfiqur Rahim, Enamul Haque Jr, Nazmul Hossain, Farhad Reza, Saqibul Hasan, Mehrab Hossain Jr, Nadif Chowdhury, Nazmus Sadat, Junaed Siddiquee, Mohammad Sharif, Dollar Mahmud, Shahagir Hossain, Marshal Ayub and Tamim Iqbal.
