Under-17 player Iqbal in Mumbai team for semis

Mumbai:Uncapped Iqbal Abdulla, a under-17 spinner has been included in the 15-member Mumbai team which will take on Baroda for their Ranji Trophy Super Division semi-final match to be played from January 23-27.

''Abdulla has been playing club-level matches and represented the Mumbai under-17 team. He will make his first class debut in the semis if he is picked in the eleven,'' said selection committee convener Ratnakar Shetty.

Amol Muzumdar will lead the squad which will miss the services of pace spearhead Ajit Agarkar and off spinner Ramesh Powar along with Sachin Tendulkar and Zaheer Khan. All the four have been picked for the Indian team for the first two One-day internationals against the West Indies.

Bhavin Thakkar will return in place of Sangram Bagul after missing the last league match against Maharashtra in Nasik.
