New Zealand elect to bat against England

Adelaide:New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming won the toss and elected to bat in the tri-series One-day international against England at the Adelaide Oval here.

New Zealand made two changes from the side narrowly beaten by Australia on Sunday, with imposing all-rounder Jacob Oram recalled after a hamstring injury and speedster Shane Bond returning from a back injury.

Seamer Michael Mason and batsman Hamish Marshall were left out.

England recalled spinner Monty Panesar for Chris Tremlett.

England: Andrew Flintoff (capt), Mal Loye, Andrew Strauss, Ian Bell, Paul Collingwood, Ed Joyce, Jamie Dalrymple, Paul Nixon, Jon Lewis, Monty Panesar, James Anderson.

New Zealand: Stephen Fleming (capt), Brendon McCullum, Nathan Astle, Peter Fulton, Ross Taylor, Craig McMillan, Daniel Vettori, James Franklin, Jacob Oram, Mark Gillespie, Shane Bond.
