Dunedin:New Zealand under-19 clinched a 73-run series-levelling win against India in the second 'Test' at Carisbrook here today.

Having reduced India to 222 for nine at the draw of stumps on day three yesterday, a Kiwi win was inevitable and the visitors could add just 10 runs before the last wicket fell.

Star performer Timothy Southee completed the formalities removing D Kulkarni and Indian second innings folded at 232 giving the Kiwis a 73-run victory.

Southee (6 for 56) eneded the match on 11 wickets, having claimed five Indian batsmen in the first innings.

The Kiwis now levelled the three-match series 1-1 and go to Bert Sutcliffe Oval at Lincoln for the third 'Test' scheduled for February 2 to 5.

India had won the first 'Test' at Bert Sutcliffe Oval at Lincoln.

India will also play three 'ODI's at Bert Sutcliffe Oval in Lincoln on Feb 7, 8 and 10.
