Ireland decide to field against Pakistan

Kingston (Jamaica):Ireland skipper Trent Johnston won the toss and elected to field against Pakistan in the World Cup Group D match at Sabina Park here on Saturday.

Naved Rana makes way for veteran all-rounder Azhar Mahmood while Eire retain the same team which played against Kenya.


Ireland: Jeremy Bray, William Porterfield, Eoin Morgan, Kevin O'Brien (wk), Andre Botha, Niall O'Brien, Kyle McCallan, Trent Johnson (capt), Andrew White, Dave Langford-Smith and Boyd Rankin.

Pakistan: Mohammad Hafeez, Imran Nazir, Younis Khan, Mohammad Yousuf, Inzamam-ul-Haq (capt), Shoaib Malik, Kamran Akmal (wk), Azhar Mahmood, Mohammad Sami, Rao Iftikhar and Umar Gul.

Umpires: Billy Bowden (NZ), Brian Jerling (RSA) and TV Replays: Simon Taufel (Aus)

Match referee: Chris Broad (Eng).
