Bangalore, Mar 24: Cricket fans burnt posters of Team India players to show &13;their disappointment over ouster of the team from World Cup in the league stage &13;itself.

A few fans, who assembled in a busy thoroughfare, shouted slogans &13;against the players and demanded Rahul Dravid to step down from Captainship and &13;set on fire posters of players.

"We were very disappointed with the &13;performance of the team in the World Cup. Years of practice and dream of &13;repeating 1983 performance by winning the Cup has been thrashed. Our efforts to &13;boost the team vent in vain. Despite examination next month I watched the match &13;last night and I was disappointed ", an Engineering student who dont wanted to &13;be named said.

Former test cricketer and Karnataka State Cricket &13;Association (KSCA) Secretary Brijesh Patel declined to comment on the team &13;performance in the match against Sri Lanka which India lost.

"Naturally I &13;am disappointed over the performance, but since I did not watch the match, I &13;dont want to comment on the players performance in the yesterday's match", Patel &13;told sources.

Meanwhile, Police have beefed up security in front of &13;residences of Dravid and opener Robin Uthappa. "One Platoon of Reserved Police &13;have been stationed and two guards were posted in front of the residence of &13;Dravid to protect property", a senior police officer told sources.
