Fleming elects to bowl against Bangladesh

St John's (Antigua&Barbuda):New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming won the toss and elected to field against Bangladesh in the World Cup Super Eights match at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium here on Monday.

Bangladesh made two changes from the side that sufered a 10-wicket thrashing by world champions Australia here Saturday.

Opening batsman Javed Omar replaced the out of form Shahriar Nafees and left-arm seamer Syed Rasal came in for Tapash Baisya.

New Zealand were unchanged from the team that beat hosts the West Indies by seven wickets here Thursday.


Bangladesh: Tamim Iqbal, Javed Omar, Aftab Ahmed, Saqibal Hasan, Habibul Bashar (capt), Mohammad Ashraful, Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Abdur Razzak, Mohammad Rafique, Mashrafe Mortaza and Syed Rasal.

New Zealand: Stephen Fleming (capt), Peter Fulton, Hamish Marshall, Scott Styris, Craig McMillan, Jacob Oram, Brendon McCullum (wk), Daniel Vettori, James Franklin, Shane Bond and Michael Mason.

Umpires: Rudi Koertzen (RSA), Aleem Dar (Pak) and Third umpire: Asad Rauf (Pak).
