~~Yorkshire committed~~ Younis pulls out of Abu Dhabi ODIs

Lahore:Pakistan's most experienced middle-order batsman Younis Khan has expressed his unavailability for the forthcoming Abu Dhabi series against Sri Lanka from May 10 due to county commitments.

The Dawn qouted chairman of national selection committee, Salahuddin Ahmed as saying that Younis had confirmed his unavailability for the series due to his stint with Yorkshire in England.

Although the newly-formed selection committee had already named 39 probables for the training camp excluding Younis, they were still awaiting a final confirmation from the former vice-captain, who recently rejected PCB's captaincy offer.

''Younis told me that he doesn't want to be considered for the matches in Abu Dhabi as he is busy playing county cricket for Yorkshire,'' said Salahuddin.

Besides the 29-year-old Younis, leg-spinner Danish Kaneria, all-rounders Azhar Mahmood and Yasir Arafat and fast bowler Rana Naved-ul-Hasan have also expressed their unavailability to the board because of their respective commitments with county clubs.
