''Team physio John Gloster is attending to Sachin. If everything goes well, Sachin can possibly do some knocking in the afternoon session,'' team's administrative manager Surendra Bhave said.
Sachin has been going through a lean phase and had a world cup he would like to forget in a hurry. If this was not enough, BCCI decided to 'rest' him from the ODIs against Bangladesh.
Sachin sprained his right ankle on the opening day of the camp on Wednesday when he ducked a bouncer from S Sreesanth and awkwardly sat on his haunches.
Sachin was in visible pain and limped to the dressing room. Even while getting into the team bus, he had an ice-pack round the ankle.
He was given ice treatment throughout the night and even this morning and stayed put in the hotel while the team headed for the Eden Gardens.
Rains spoil Team India's practice : After the heat wave that left several cricketers in discomfort on the opening day of the conditioning camp ahead of Bangladesh tour, unseasonal torrential rains robbed the cricketers of their net practice this evening.
Team India's local manager Samir Dasgupta told reporters, ''They will not be able to practise if it rains like this. They might head for the indoor facilities though for sometime. But nothing has been decided as yet.''
It started raining since last evening and gale winds with intermittent rains continued this morning. Met Office sources said the rain could continue till night.
The entire squad is here except V V S Laxman and Dinesh Kaarthik.
While Laxman is down with gastroenteritis, Kaarthik, who tied nuptial knot on Wednesday, will join on Sunday, the last day of the camp.
