Belfast:Rain delayed the start of the third and final one-day international between India and South Africa at Stormont here Sunday.

Rain was still falling at 10:15am local time (0915GMT), when the toss had been due to take place, and meant the match could not start as scheduled at 10:45am (0945GMT).

Both the pitch and square were fully covered as groundstaff tried to remove excess water.

The series is level at 1-1 after India won by six wickets here Friday following South Africa's four-wicket victory on Tuesday.

India, after this match, are due to travel to Scotland for a one-day international against Pakistan in Glasgow on July 3.

They then face England in three Tests and seven one-day internationals from July 19 to September 8.

South Africa are due to play a one-day international series in Zimbabwe in September before hosting the inaugural World Twenty20 later that month.
