Prior backs Pietersen to come good

Kevin Pietersen may be undergoing something of a slump by his own standards but Matt Prior has said it will be no surprise to his England team-mates if he plays a match-winning innings in the final one-day international against the West Indies at Trent Bridge.


Kevin Pietersen walks back to the pavilion after being bowled out for 9 during the second one-dayer against West Indies at Edgbaston. Pietersen, the leading batsman in the International Cricket Council (ICC) rankings for one-day cricket, has scored just 77 runs in four limited overs internationals this season.


England one-day captain Paul Collingwood. The three-match series between England and West Indies is level at 1-1 after West Indies' 61-run win at Edgbaston on Wednesday. The third and final match would be played tomorrow.
