Lahore:Pakistan cricket captain Shoaib Malik has told reporters here that the forthcoming Twenty20 World Championship in South Africa will not be a cakewalk.

Shoaib pointed out that like other forms of cricket, Twenty20 was another competitive version of the game, and Pakistan would like to tackle it with full effort and a top squad.

Malik was quoted by The Dawn as saying that he would be taking the first edition of the Twenty20 Cup very seriously.

"We need to win in such a high profile competition to raise the team's morale before facing South Africa, India and Australia in back-to-back series later this year," he said.

Shoaib, however, expressed concern over the low scoring games at the training camp here, but added that the main purpose of the camp was to improve the fitness level of the players.
