Loughborough :India middle-order batsman Saurav Ganguly cleared a fitness test on his stiff back on Thursday on the eve of the second Test against England at Trent Bridge.

"Everything is fine," India team spokesman Rufus Rockey said.

India captain Rahul Dravid told reporters earlier that Yuvraj Singh had been included in a 12-man squad as cover for former captain Ganguly.

"He (Ganguly) is feeling a lot better than he did yesterday and so we've picked him as part of the 12," Dravid said.

The former captain was clearly hampered by a back problem during the second innings of the first Test at Lord's and was unable to take part today's net practice which was moved to the National Academy at Loughborough because of persistent rain at Nottingham.
