Nairobi: Kenyan cricket selectors on Tuesday named two teenagers in the 15-man squad for next month's inaugural Twenty20 world championships in South Africa.

The two players - allrounder Alex Obanda and batsman Elijah Otieno - earned their first caps when they featured in the two three-day matches the World Cricket League champions played and lost to India A in the coastal port city of Mombasa last week.

Long-serving skipper Steve Tikolo who suffered a calf injury during the series retains his place with Thomas Odoyo as his deputy.

Kenya, which is set to play India A and Sri Lanka A in a triangular limited overs tournament starting in Nairobi on Tuesday, will also host a four-nation warm up competition for the Twenty20 World championships later this month.

The other teams include Pakistan, Bangladesh and the newly-crowned World Cricket League division two champions Uganda.

Squad: Steve Tikolo (capt), Thomas Odoyo (vice capt), Morris Ouma (wk), David Obuya, Tanmay Mishra, Collins Obuya, Alex Obanda, Jimmy Kamande, Hiren Varaiya, Peter Ongondo, Elijah Otieno, Nehemiah Odhiambo, Rajesh Bhudia, Tony Suji and Lameck Onyango.
