England's Andrew Flintoff has been named in the side to face India at Lord's on Saturday.
Flintoff had been omitted from Wednesday's penultimate match of the series because of an injured ankle.
England indicated on Friday they were prepared to pick Flintoff, who has missed their last two fixtures in this seven-match series because of his troublesome left ankle.
The proviso was that they needed to be sure he had suffered no ill-effects from bowling in the nets 24 hours ago.
England's premier all-rounder had a pain-killing injection on Wednesday.
He takes his place Saturday as the only change to the team which lost a thrilling match at The Oval three days ago - opening batsman Alastair Cook the man to drop out, with Luke Wright retaining his place after an impressive debut.
