Sunitha helps Karnataka eves bag 3 points

Bangalore: Off-spinner Sunitha Vasudevan mesmerised Andhra batswomen with her guile as Karnataka eves' bagged the crucial three points by virtue of their first innings lead in a drawn game in the South Zone Women's Inter-State cricket tournament at the R D T Stadium, Ananthapur.
Sunitha bowled a superb spell to help Karnataka skittle out Andhra eves 143 in their first innings. Munika Sai top scored for Andhra with a patient 35 while Satyavani and Sunitha Kumari chipped in with 29 and 21 respectively. Sunitha's analysis read an impressive 32-07-62-07.

In reply, Karnataka riding on the knocks of India eves opener Karuna Jain (61) and Sindhu Ashok (41*), gained first innings. Hemamalini was the other notable contributor with a crafty 34. Leg-spinner Savita Kumari lead Chasing 144 for the first innings lead Karnataka were well served by India opener Karuna Jain ( 61), Hema Malini ( 34 ) and Sindhu Ashok ( 41 not out ). Leg-spinner Savita Kumari claimed both the wickets to fall.
