Pakistan elect to field against Australia

Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik won the toss and sent Australia in to bat in a group E match of the Super Eights in the Twenty20 world championships here on Tuesday.

Both teams won their opening games, Pakistan beating Sri Lanka by 33 runs and Australia cruising past Bangladesh by nine wickets.

Australia: Ricky Ponting (capt), Nathan Bracken, Stuart Clark, Michael Clarke, Adam Gilchrist, Matthew Hayden, Brad Hodge, Michael Hussey, Mitchell Johnson, Brett Lee, Andrew Symonds.

Pakistan: Shoaib Malik (capt), Shahid Afridi, Kamran Akmal, Mohammad Asif, Salman Butt, Umar Gul, Mohammad Hafeez, Misbah-ul-Haq, Younis Khan, Imran Nazir, Sohail Tanvir.
