Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene won the toss and elected to bat in the fourth one-day international against England at the Premadasa stadium here.
Sri Lanka, who must win to square the five-match series 2-2, brought in leg-spinner Kaushal Lokuarachchi in place of Farveez Maharoof, who suffered a back spasm during the last match in Dambulla.
England fielded the same team that put them 2-1 ahead last Sunday.
The fifth and final game will be played at the same venue on Saturday.
