Bangalore: Australian pace bowler Mitchell Johnson bagged five wickets to restrict India to a paltry 148 in the fifth match of the Future Cup series in Ahmedabad today.
Australia, leading the series 2-1, got upperhand in the very first over of the innings bowled by Brett Lee when Hodge managed to run out Indian opener Sourav Ganguly in the fourth ball. Dravid immediately followed Ganguly to the pavillion as Lee trapped him LBW in the first ball he faced.
After electing to bat first, none of the top-6 batsman, except Sachin Tendulkar, applied themselves to stay on wicket. Tendulkar, playing his 400th ODI match today, showed some resistance with a patient 47 (73) before falling to Brett Lee in the 26th over. Wicket-keeper Gilchrist had no problem clinching the catch offered by Sachin Tendulkar.
