Sri Lanka elect to bat against England

Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene won the toss and elected to bat in the fifth and final one-day international against England here.

England have already gained a winning 3-1 lead in the series.

All-rounder Dilruwan Perera makes his one-day debut for Sri Lanka, replacing left-handed opener Upul Tharanga for the only change in the team that lost the previous match here on Wednesday.

The tourists also made one change, including left-arm spinner Monty Panesar in place of the unfit Graeme Swann.

Sri Lanka: Mahela Jayawardene (capt), Sanath Jayasuriya, Kumar Sangakkara, Chamara Silva, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Jehan Mubarak, Dilruwan Perera, Kaushal Lokuarachchi, Chaminda Vaas, Lasith Malinga, Dilhara Fernando.

England: Paul Collingwood (capt), Alastair Cook, Phil Mustard, Ian Bell, Kevin Pietersen, Ravi Bopara, Owais Shah, Stuart Broad, Ryan Sidebottom, James Anderson, Monty Panesar.
