Ponting elects to bat first in Mumbai Twenty20

Bangalore: Australian skipper Ricky Ponting won the toss and elected to bat first in the one-off Twenty20 match against T20 World Champions India at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

India made two changes in the team that played Twenty20 World Championship final against Pakistan as Murali Karthik and Virender Sehwag replaced Joginder Sharma and Yousuf Pathan respectively.

Australia: ML Hayden, AC Gilchrist (wk), RT Ponting (capt), A Symonds, MJ Clarke, BJ Hodge, BJ Haddin, B Lee, BW Hilfenhaus, NW Bracken, SR Clark.
