Pakistan bat against India in first one-dayer

GUWAHATI:
Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik won the toss and elected to bat against India in the opening match of the five-match one-day series here on Monday.

Pakistan: Shoaib Malik (capt), Younis Khan, Salman Butt, Mohammad Yousuf, Shahid Afridi, Misbah-ul-Haq, Kamran Akmal, Shoaib Akhtar, Umar Gul, Abdul Rehman, Rao Iftikhar.

India: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (capt), Yuvraj Singh, Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar, Robin Uthappa, Gautam Gambhir, Irfan Pathan, Murali Kartik, Rudra Pratap Singh, Zaheer Khan, Harbhajan Singh.

Umpires: Ian Gould (ENG) and Amiesh Saheba (IND)

TV umpire: G. Pratapkumar (IND)
