Williams to lead Baroda Ranji team

Vadodara: Baroda will take on Bengal in their Ranji Trophy tie at Motibaug stadium here from Nov 15 to 18.

After the Bengal, match Baroda will play an asay match against Hyderabad from Nov 23 to 26, while it will take on Uttar Pradesh at Lucknow from December 1 to 4.

The Baroda-Punjab tie will be held at Mohali from Dec 9 to 12. Among its other matches, Baroda will clash against Andhra Pradesh at Vizag from Dec 17 to 20, and against Orissa here at the GSFC ground from Dec 25 to 28.

The Squad: Connor Williams (capt), Pinal Shah (vice capt&wk), Satyajit Parab, Azhar Bhilakia, Yusuf Pathan, Rajesh Pawar, Rakesh Solanki, Vishwanath Parmar, Sankalp Vora, Satrunjay Gaekwad, Sunil Singh, Ketan Panchal, Abhimanyu Chauhan, Hamid Ali and Pragnesh Patel.

Build full-fledged stadium, BCCI tells BCA: The BCCI has asked the Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) to build its own stadium before 2009.

It has clarified that the BCA should have a full fledged stadium and not merely a sports complex.

BCA secretary Rakesh Parekh told reporters that as per the BCCI directive the stadium should be ready by 2009. He further added that the stadium would be built with funds from the BCCI for infrastructure development and with the BCA's own funds.
