Mumbai: The Indian Cricket League (ICL), a venture by the Essel Group, today announced the names of players in each of the six teams and their respective coaches for the upcoming ICL Twenty 20 tournament.
The announcement came along with the news of third practice camp, starting Nov 16, in which each team will practice in their respective cities.
The coaches of the teams will meet to decide the captains of the teams within a week.
The six teams in the inaugural league which wre unveiled last week in a function held at Mumbai were Mumbai Champs, Delhi Jets, Chennai Superstars, Hyderabad Heroes, Kolkata Tigers and Chandigarh Lions.
Twenty four international players - six South African, five Pakistani, four from England and New Zealand, two from Lanka and Ireland and one Australian - were equally divided in the six teams, according to an ICL press release.
ICL chairman (Executive Board) Kapil Dev said, ''We are thrilled to make this announcement as we reckon this is the most important piece of information before the tournament begins. We have ensured that the teams are balanced in every way and receive best facilities in terms of coaching, showcasing of their talent and exposure to international cricket. I wish all the players best of luck for the tournament.''
