New Delhi: The Delhi High Court today denied the BCCI and sports broadcaster Nimbus Communications any interim relief over sharing telecast feed of Test matches with Prasar Bharti.

BCCI and Nimbus had challenged the centre's policy directing private broadcasters to share private feed of Test matches with the state run Prasar Bharti.

A Bench comprising Chief Justice M K Sharma and Justice Sanjeev Khanna refused to grant interim relief to the petitioners.

They also directed the Centre and Prasar Bharti to file their response on the issue before the next date of hearing.

The petitioners had challenged Section 3 of the Sports Broadcasting Signal Act making it compulsory for the private broadcasters to share their feed with Prasar Bharti.

Senior Advocate Ashok Desai appearing for the petitioners had contended that the Sec 3 of the said Act should be stayed as it was causing them financial loss.

The next date of hearing on the matter is on Dec 10.
