''I don't think Gul will be fit for the second Test. We may bring Rao Iftikhar Anjum back to India as he did very well in ODIs against South Africa,'' Salahuddin said.
Gul was ruled out of the first Test on the match eve due to back sprain, forcing Pakistan to include Mohammad Sami in the final eleven.
''Umar Gul got scanned. We have sent the scan report to the doctor, who treates him, in Pakistan for evaluation. Only after that we can confirm anything,'' Pakistan media manager Ehsan Mallik told mediapersons at the post-day media conference.
''Evaluation will be done in the next couple of days,'' he added.
Meanwhile, middle-order batsman Misbah-ul-Haq, who played a gem of a innings, scoring 82 runs to rescue Pakistan from a near hopeless situation to a competive one, was unwell yesterday and could not take the field. However, the Pakistani media manager said there is nothing to worry about Misbah.
''Misbah was having a sore throat and temperature, he is given rest and will be alright,'' Mallik said.
