India takes lead against Pakistan

New Delhi, Nov 24, 2007 : India went past Pakistan's first innings score of 231 runs when VVS Laxman pushed a Mohammad Sami ball to the point region for a single early on Day III of the first Test against Pakistan at the Ferozshah Kotla in New Delhi.

At stumps on Day II on November 23, India were just three runs behind Pakistan's score. Laxman was batting on 57 with skipper Anil Kumble giving him company on seven when play was stopped due to bad light.
