Kolkata: Yuvraj Singh, who did not find a place in the eleven for the first and second Test against Pakistan, was today relased by the team management to join Punjab Ranji team for their four-day tie against Bengal starting tomorrow.

The strapping southpaw left for Chandigarh today, making way for Murali Karthik to be the 12th man of the team.

The BCCI has asked all the international players to play in the domestic tournaments more often when not on international duty.
