Bangalore: The city police have advised Pakistan players not to venture out on their own due to security reasons.

Taking a day off after their arrival from Kolkata yesterday, a few players, including skipper Shoaib Malik, were on their own in the evening causing hardships to the police.

This has forced the police to give a strict instruction to them, ahead of their third Test against India beginning on December eight, not to venture out of their hotel on their own.

Malik drove upmarket to watch Jab We Met, in a multiplex and later dropped into a restaurant, specialising in Pakistani and Afghani cuisines. Kamran Akmal and Salman Butt went for John Abhram film Dhan Dhana Goal at the same mall.

A Pakistan Team official said, The players took a day's off'.

The team, which arrived here after forcing a draw on India at Kolkata, was received by overcast sky with city temperature reading 19 degree Celsius.

More than 2,250 police personnel are deployed for security.

Police have set up a disaster management cell also.
