Chennai: More than Tamil Nadu, who have failed to qualify for the knock out semi-finals despite improving their performance in the last three encounters, the last Ranji Trophy Super League Group-A match  will be crucial for Delhi when they lock horn at M A Chidambaram Stadium here on Tuesday.

Saurashtra are ahead in the group with 20 points, while Mumbai and Delhi have 18 points each. Tamil Nadu have 13.

Both Delhi and Tamil Nadu, would be looking for an outright win barring any interference again by the weather gods. Incessent rain upset the hosts' applecart after they were forced to share points in two group ties.

However, Tamil Nadu captain S Badrinath said the team would not be bogged down by the fact that it would not qualify.

''We will not worry about this. We will play to win'', he said.

Delhi would be depending for a solid innings from their captain Gautam Gambhir if they are to make a match of it. They would be looking to overhaul Mumbai now for a place in the knock out.

Delhi coach Vijay Dahia said the team would play for an outright win or go all out to gain at least three points by taking first innings lead to be ahead of reigning champions Mumbai. Dahia said there were no injury worries in the team for the crucial match.
