Jamshedpur: Making a 360 degree turn, former stumper Syed Kirmani lauded T20 and ODI captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, saying he had improved manifold after taking over the responsibility of captaining.
Kirmani said the ace wicket-keeper batsman had made phase-wise improvement and settled himself behind the stumps. He was also happy of the way Dhoni bats and and was more than sure of his batting versatility.
Kirmani slams wicketkeeper Dhoni
'Apart from a good wicket keeper, Dhoni is also a swashbuckling batsman, who is capable of batting in any condition in the world, including Australia,'' Kirmani said.
On Dravid opening the batting for India, he had a different take. He criticised the Indian think-tank for opening with former captian Rahul Dravid and said the team management was playing with his career by making him play at the top.
He also opined that Virendar Sehwag was the right man to open the innings in Australia and hoped that the team would bounce back in the series.
Kirmani, a keen golfer, was here to take part in the Tata Open Golf tourney.
