Former New Zealand wicket-keeper Adam Parore announced Friday he is ending a six year retirement to join the rebel Indian Cricket League (ICL).
Parore said he has signed a two-year deal with the Chennai Superstars who won the inaugural ICL competition last December.
The 37-year-old, who played 78 tests and 179 one-day internationals for New Zealand during a 12-year career, said the offer was "simply too good to turn down".
England's Chris Read was the original 'keeper for the Chennai Superstars, a team coached and captained by former Australian international Michael Bevan.
Parore has only played a couple of low-key matches since he retired in 2002 to focus on his mortgage broking business.
