Bangladesh to bat first against South Africa

DHAKA :
Bangladesh captain Mohammad Ashraful won the toss and elected to bat in the second one-day international against South Africa at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium here on Wednesday.

Bangladesh made two changes to their side, replacing struggling opener Junaid Siddique and fast bowler Shahadat Hossain with Nazimuddin and Mashrafe Mortaza.

South Africa retained the same squad that won the opening match in Chittagong by nine wickets.

The third and final one-dayer will be played here on Friday.

Bangladesh: Mohammad Ashraful (captain), Tamim Iqbal, Nazimuddin, Shahriar Nafees, Shakib Al Hasan, Dhiman Ghosh, Abdur Razzak, Mashrafe Mortaza, Mosharraf Hossain Rubel, Syed Rasel, Roqibul Hassan.

South Africa: Graeme Smith (captain), Hashim Amla, Johan Botha, A.B. de Villiers, J.P. Duminy, Herschelle Gibbs, Paul Harris, Charl Langeveldt, Albie Morkel, Andre Nel, Alviro Petersen.

Umpires: Aleem Dar (PAK) and Nadir Shah (BAN)

TV Umpire: Akhtaruddin Shahin (BAN)

Match referee: Ranjan Madugalle (SRI)
