BCCI conducts second IPL auction

Mumbai, Mar 12, 2008 : The Board of Control for Cricket in India or BCCI, the governing body for cricket conducted second and final players' auction for the Indian Premier League in Mumbai on March 11 where eighteen players were auctioned, including the under 19 players.

Industrialist Vijay Mallya was excited to have roped in Virat Kohli, captain of the Under-19 world Champion cricket team, as a player for his Bangalore Royal Challenger"s team. He also bought Pakistan"s batsman Misbah-Ul-Haq.
