Lahore: The International Cricket Council (ICC) will send a three-member inspection team to the Rawalpindi stadium tomorrow to inspect security situation for the Champions Trophy which is scheduled to be held in Pakistan later this year.

Andy Atkinson and Samiul Hasan along with another official are the members of the ICC inspection team which will also review the facilities in the stadium.

Rawalpindi stadium, one of the venues for this year's Champions Trophy, has been a target of terrorists following which the prestigious tournament was even suggested to be shifted to Sri Lanka.

The inspection team will review the security arrangements in and around the stadium.

The ICC officials were due to visit Pakistan in November last year but because emergency imposed in the country they had to call-off their tour.
