The itinerary for the Indian team upto April 2009 was finalised at the working committee meeting of the BCCI here today, its Secretary Niranjan Shah and Treasurer N Srinivasan told Mediapersons It would be non-stop cricket for the Indians as they have a hectic schedule after the final of the BCCI-promoted Indian Premier League (IPL), scheduled for May 31.
After the first-ever IPL, India would visit Bangladesh in the first week of June for a triangular series, with Pakistan being the third team.
India would then take part in the Asia Cup in Pakistan from June 24, before embarking on a 46-day tour of Sri Lanka to play three tests and five ODIs till August 30 and then go to Pakistan again for the ICC Champions Trophy from September eight to 28.
Back Home, India would host Australia for a four-test series to be played at Bangalore, Mohali, New Delhi and Nagpur from October nine to November ten and would play seven ODIs and two tests against England at home, which would continue till December 23.
From January four to February 20 next year, India would visit Pakistan for three tests and five ODIs, before touring New Zealand from February 26 to April 15 to play three tests and five ODIs.
Itnerary from June, 2008 to April 2009:
First week of June : Triseries in Bangladesh/India/Pakistan
June 24 : Asia cup in Pakistan
July 15 to Aug 30 : tour of Sri Lanka three tests and five ODIs
Sept eight to 28: ICC Champions Trophy at Pakistan
Oct 9 to Nov ten: Australia to tour India for four tests at Bangalore, Mohali, New Delhi and Nagpur.
Nov to December 23 : England tour of India for seven ODIs and two tests.
2009: Jan 4 to Feb 20 :India to tour Pakistan--three tests, 5 ODIs.
Feb 26 to Apr 15 : India to tour New Zealand 3 tests, 5 ODIs.
