Ahmedabad: The Indian team today is undergoing a rigorous training session which is expected to extend till evening without their captain Anil Kumble, who is still nursing a groin injury and his spin partner Harbhajan Singh who is down with a stomach bug.

In the gruelling net session, ODI skipper and wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni wielded the willow but stayed away from fielding practice.

Munaf Patel, who has replaced the out-of-form pacer R P Singh, has joined the team and was sweating it out at the nets.

But there was no sign of his pace colleague Ishant Sharma, who has still not joined the side.

Ramesh Powar, who has been included in the team as a cover for the captain Anil Kumble, was also seen sweating it out at the Sardar Patel Gujarat stadium here today.

India trail the three-match series 0-1, after suffering a humiliating innings and 90 run loss inside three days of the second Test.
